Dedicated Care Team: Fostering Holistic Well-being

At Bablake House, our compassionate Senior Carers and dedicated Carers form the backbone of our care team, working tirelessly to ensure that each resident receives personalised support tailored to their unique needs.

Going beyond the physical aspects of care, our team places a strong emphasis on emotional well-being, creating an environment where residents feel valued and understood. Senior Carers take on a pivotal role, overseeing the delivery of physical and emotional support to residents while upholding the highest standards of care.

Their responsibilities extend to daily routine supervision, medication management, care plan development, record updating, and maintaining a safe working environment. The commitment of our Senior Carers and Carers transcends the conventional boundaries of care, as they actively contribute to fostering meaningful connections and enriching the lives of our residents at Bablake House.

Home Manager: A Lifelong Commitment

At the helm of Bablake House, our Home Manager, Michelle Quinn, bringing over 30 years of experience, leadership, and heart to Bablake House.

With a background that includes dementia care, palliative support, learning disabilities, and rehabilitation, her journey in the field began at just 14 years old, assisting with drinks in a care setting. This early introduction sparked a lifelong passion for making a difference in people’s lives.

Since then, Michelle has worked across various levels within the sector, progressing from senior roles to deputy positions and ultimately achieving her Level 5 qualification, enabling her to become a registered manager. Her deep commitment lies in creating a home where every resident feels valued, safe, and truly at ease.

Michelle is a firm believer that exceptional care begins with listening—whether it's to residents, their families, or her team. At Bablake House, she brings this person-centred approach to every aspect of care, ensuring that each individual’s choices, routines, and preferences are respected and reflected in their daily experience.

Her leadership prioritises wellbeing, with a strong focus on maintaining the highest standards of safety, dignity, and compassion. Under Michelle’s management, Bablake House continues to meet all Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements, with robust health and safety measures—from infection control to tailored care plans—that both protect and empower residents.

Michelle also has a passion for mentoring and coaching her team, supporting staff to deliver the highest quality care. Whether it’s through meaningful activities, personalised meals, or simply a friendly conversation in the garden, her goal is to ensure each day is filled with comfort and joy.

Known for her open and approachable style, Michelle encourages feedback and enjoys connecting with residents and families alike. Her door is always open for a chat and a cup of tea, as she works to nurture a vibrant, caring community at Bablake House.
